5 Steps to Write a Good Instagram Caption

We all know that taking a good photo could be a challenge but who knew writing an Instagram caption could be quite a hassle.

Should your caption be funny? Or does a serious tone suit it better? How about emojis and hashtags?!
Admit it; sometimes you make an instagram caption without putting much thinking into it and it became an afterthought and it results in you editing your captions over and over again.

Fret not! Here is a guide for you to write a good instagram caption.

1. Write several drafts first.

Don't rush the process. Instead, write a few ideas for captions down, sit on them for a bit, decide on which one is best, and generally take your time.
You dont want the caption to be rushed as you might end up NOT delivering the message as effective as you wanted it to be.

2. Googling your grammar and spelling

Sometimes when we go through our instagram timeline, we stumble upon some common grammatical mistakes such as "once open a time" or people spelling believe as "belive".
Yes, these are just small mistakes but Instagram captions give out an impression of yourself to your followers and these constant mistakes could get them turned-off and they might eventually hit that unfollow button.

3. Googling extra information on your subject

A good Instagram caption is also a caption that interacts with your followers. Providing extra information about the hill that you hike, the venue that you visited, and the fruit that you ate is also a form of interaction where you provide unknown infos to your followers.

4. Use non-cliche words

As I said earlier, Instagram captions give out an impression of yourself to your followers. Using non-cliche to replace common words could give out a huge positive impact on your followers.
Examples: Use "opportunity" instead of "chance", "summit" instead of "peak", and "charming" instead of "handsome".

5. Keep it simple

Yes, I keep on saying that an Instagram caption gives out impression to your followers, but avoid making it too complicated!
Do not write something like "The chicken which i have just indulged was overwhelmingly scrumptious". Just say the chicken was good. Do not try too hard to impress the followers with how many non-cliche words you can put in a caption.

6. [EXTRA] The Major Don't
No "To be deleted" captions please. We all know you won't delete it.
